I had the privilege of visiting Athletic Club de Cambrai 1919 yesterday on my way to Valenciennes.  ACC is a more local/regional club, unlike many of the clubs were hear about in the US like PSG, Monaco, etc.  It was fascinating to learn more about their rich history – this year they are celebrating 100 years!

They were very proud (as they should be) and welcomed me with open arms discussing the structure of the club, region and country.  I was able to tour their stadium, facilities and trophy room, which I could have spent all day in.

I was also able to watch a training with the 6-8 year olds, and they insisted on a photo with the group.

I will certainly expand on the visit if time allows, but it was a unique opportunity to get a feel for the amazing clubs, players and coaches doing work outside of the spotlight which we all know goes on around the world.
