This photo made my day. When I think of women’s soccer, I think of people like Cristina Gilmore. Growing up in Santa Rosa, she made us all proud as she conquered the soccer world. Christina played with Santa Rosa United and Montgomery HS before playing two years at Sonoma State University and two years after Fresno State University. After completing her college career, she played professionally in the WUSA with the Bay Area CyberRays. She lives in the East Bay with her husband Cris and their two children Grayson and Sienna. They are leading a group of 80 (players, coaches and families) on a tour in France.
I share this post not to single out (besides Christina) any club or team specifically, but just to let folks back home know that NorCal Premier is well represented. I have bumped into players, coaches and families from at least 10 NorCal Premier clubs as well as familiar faces from SoCal and around the US.
It is great to see players, coaches and fans from NorCal Premier taking it all in because their experiences in France will help spread make the NorCal Premier soccer community better.
